From Mountains to the Coast: A road trip to Bar Harbour, Maine

28th-30th September:

3 days in Bar Harbour, Maine.

I rented a car for 2 weeks, as I planned to make my way north into Maine and then across  to Montreal. I left Vermont and drove 6 hrs to Bar Harbour, a very pretty, small tourist town with 170 B & B's. Not a place to shop, as the cruise ships deposit thousands of people each day for their 5 hr shop. The town is about the size of Terrigal.

The next 8 Acadia National Park.

Same hiking clothes.

Dinner for one on my birthday.

Cute B & B

B & B

No exaggeration, thousands.

Bar Harbour town.

However, it was nice to be near the coast and I loved hiking through the very famous Acadia park, eating seafood and I treated myself to dinner and the funniest improv, comedy show I have ever seen, on my birthday .No cake and candles but plenty of laughing with the front row enthusiasts. AND I Loved the face book birthday wishes and family skypes.
